Tadeusz Piotrowski ( Polish. Tadeusz Piotrowski , born Thaddeus Piotrowski , born February 10, 1940 in Rysvyanka ) is an American historian and sociologist of Polish descent, professor of sociology at the Department of Social Sciences at the University of New Hampshire in Manchester [1] .

Biography
Born February 10, 1940 in the town of Rysvyanka in Volyn (now Rivne region). In 1943, he left the territory with his parents, fleeing persecution, and emigrated to the United States [2] [3] . He graduated from the University of St. Francis in Loretto in 1963 (bachelor's degree), received a master's degree and a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania. He is engaged in the study of the social history of the Holocaust and anthropology [4] . The author of several books on the history of Poland in World War II, specializes in the history of Polish ethnic minorities. Piotrovsky also owns books about the Polish campaign of Soviet troops and the mass deaths of Poles in Volyn at the hands of Ukrainian nationalists [5] [6] .
For his historical works, Professor Piotrovsky received several awards as a sign of his contribution to the development and promotion of Polish culture and history in the USA [7] [8] , as well as in preserving the memory of the Poles' struggle for independence [9] .
