- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart began writing the London Sketchbook ( German. Londoner Skizzenbuch ), a series of 43 nameless plays and etudes, completed in 1765 .
- February 29 - Johann Christian Bach and Carl Friedrich Abel gave a joint concert in London, which ended in great success. The concerts, known as the Bach-Abel concerts, were the first subscription concerts in the history of England.
- March 16 - the premiere of Spiritual Oratorio ( Nabal ), composed of works by Georg Friedrich Handel (1685-1759) by his personal secretary .
- April 23 - Father and son of Mozart visited Johann Christian Bach in London . Bach and the 8-year-old child prodigy played together for the first time. The stylistic influence of I. K. Bach is felt in the 1st London Symphony by W. A. Mozart and his later works.
