Life
Farrukh Jafar Kuli oglu Hajiyev was born in 1859 in Shusha. Primary education received from the local mullah, then continued his studies in the madrasa. He was fluent in Persian and Russian.
Farruhi joined the Mejlisi-Faramushan literary circle, where he met the poets Garadaghi, Navvab and other popular Karabakh poets of that era. Under their creative influence he wrote his first lyric poems . In the satirical works of the early period of his work he criticized social flaws in society, superstition and prejudice, tyranny and injustice.
The poet died in 1919 .
