Molla Zeynalabdin Sageri ( azerb. Molla Zeynalabdin Sağəri ; 1791 - 1854 ) - an Azerbaijani poet. He wrote under the pseudonym Sageri .

Life

Molla Zeynalabdin was born in 1791, his father gave him primary education, and then he studied at a madrasah. Zeynalabdin's father, Molla Sadig, and grandfather Mirza Magomed were famous religious figures of Karabakh. From childhood he listened to the reading of the Koran and was brought up under the influence of religious figures of his time and very early learned the Koran.

Along with religious literature, he became interested in music and poetry. He studied the works of Sadi, Hafiz, Nizami, Fizuli, Vagif and other famous poets and thinkers of the East. It was then that the love and craving for creativity awakened in him. His pen test took place while still studying in a madrasah.

Having devoted his life to religious activities since his youth, Akhund Molla Zeynalabdin taught Arabic for exactly forty years, preached Islamic values, and taught the Qur'an. As a music connoisseur, he and his friend Harrat Kulu often acted as organizers of musical events in Shusha. Attracted talented youth to participate in them.

Molla Zeynalabdin wrote lyric poems under the pseudonym "Saагri". Seyid Azim Shirvani in his anthology of poets, we write about him and publish one of his poems. Sageri himself considered himself a follower of the Fizuli literary school. All his poems are written under the influence of the style of this direction.

Mir Movsum Navvab in his namesake, a literary collection (Thezkirei Navvab), notes that Molla Zeynalabdin Sageri is the author of two sofas (a collection of poems) in Azerbaijani and Farsi, that his gazelles, Hasids, rubyes and other poems exceeded one thousand. It is noteworthy that the gazelles consisted of seven verses. A small part of the literary heritage of Sageri has survived to this day.

The poet died in 1854 .

Creativity

The poet of Molla Zeynalabdin Sageri Garabagi, who lived and worked in the city of Shusha in the 19th century , was one of the gifted, talented successors of the school of the great Fizuli.
