Career

Alisa Efimova was born in Finland, initially she acted as a loner for Finland. From the very beginning I wanted to perform in pair skating, it was because of this that she moved to Russia in 2014 . She complained that in Finland it is almost impossible to find a partner and a coach for pair skating [2] . In Russia, Pavlova advised her Korovin, she paired up with him.

In February 2015, they were only seventh in Saransk at the Russian Cup final. However, the couple continued hard training and in December received the right to speak at the Russian championship in Yekaterinburg , where they were at the end of the standings. However, after a month and a half in Saransk, at the final of the Cup of Russia, they, to the surprise of many experts, finished second. After that, they were sent to the international tournament of the Zeibt Memorial in Vienna , where they also finished second [3] .

The skaters started the new pre-Olympic season unexpectedly, they replaced their teammates at the Rostelecom Cup in Moscow , where they finished penultimate, but improved all their previous sports achievements [4] . Soon they performed at one of the stages of the Challenger series in Estonia on the Tallinn Trophy , where they finished second [5] . At the end of December, the skaters performed in Chelyabinsk at the Russian Championship , where they took eighth place [6] and joined the Russian team at the XXVIII Winter Universiade in Kazakhstan [7] . However, at the last moment at the Universiade greenhouse competitions were canceled. In February, athletes took part in the final of the Cup of Russia, where, like last year, they took second place [8] .

In September, the Russian couple began the Olympic season in Bergamo , where they finished in the top five at the Lombardy Cup [9] . A week later, the skaters performed in Bratislava , where at the Ondrei Nepela Memorial tournament, they finished with bronze medals [10] . At the same time, they improved their previous achievements in the amount and free program. At the end of November, in Tallinn, the Russians finished second in the city tournament, and at the same time they improved their previous achievement in the short program [11] . At the national championship in mid-December in St. Petersburg, the couple finished at the end of the top ten leading Russian couples [12] . At the end of February 2018, the couple became winners in the final of the Cup of Russia.
