History
Project 40 appeared in 1995 as one station, XHTVM-TV in Mexico City . XHTVM was primarily owned by Javier Moreno Valle, as well as the CNI Canal 40 news channel .
On July 29, 1998, CNI, having signed a contract with en: TV_Azteca , became Aztec 40, the third Aztec TV station. As part of this partnership, Aztec TV sold advertising time and broadcast time, which amounted to 21.5 hours of broadcast per day. The partnership was terminated in 2000 when Moreno Valle returned to Aztec, indicating a breach of contract. Later, Azteka took control of the TV station again in December 2002, using bodyguards to forcefully take over the Cerro del Chiquihuite transmission hub , and also in 2005, after the CNI was closed due to a workers' strike. Then Aztec worked with the small owner Hernan Cabalketa to have legal broadcasting rights. The current Project 40 began broadcasting in 2006.
Current TV Program
The Project 40 TV program run by Aztec TV is currently a combination of news programs, group discussions, and entertainment shows. Aztecai and Showtime in the United States signed an agreement in September 2008, according to which Project 40 began broadcasting Dexter , Jackie's sister and other Showtime programs.
