The 1st battalion of the military police of the 1st Krainsky Corps ( Serbian. Prvi battalion military police Prvog Kraiskishkogo corps ) is one of the military formations of the 1st Krainsky corps of the Army of the Republika Srpska . The battalion is considered the assignee of the 5th military police battalion of the Banja Luka Corps of the JNA and the 17th military police battalion from Ljubljana. It was founded on June 16, 1992 in Banja Luka . He was engaged in ensuring the security of the corps command, adjusting transport, training recruits, guarding important facilities and conducting counter-sabotage operations. During the Bosnian War, he participated in Operation Corridor, maintaining communications between the east and west of Republika Srpska.

Content
Structure
The battalion included two companies of the military police, an anti-terror platoon, a transport company, a supply platoon, a service platoon, a communications department and a specialist department. Although de jure the functions of the battalion came down to the police, during the war he repeatedly participated in hostilities. It was replenished by both acting officers and reserve officers and draftees.
Battle Path
1992
In May 1992, the battalion was involved in the protection of hydroelectric power stations on Lake Bochac and fought for the city of Klyuch (now the Unsko-Sansky Canton) and its environs. In June – July, the battalion participated in Operation Corridor, freeing Odjak. On August 25, the battalion suffered the first combat losses in the battles for Bosanski Brod . After 4 days, along with other parts of the VRS, the battalion was taken by Kostresh occupied by the enemy. After spending some time as part of the Banja Luka garrison, the battalion went to the vicinity of Gradacac , where he remained until October 27 , when he took part in Operation Vrbas-92. He spent the end of the year in the vicinity of the city of Brcko .
1993
In early January 1993, 200 volunteers joined the 1st Military Police Battalion. The 1st Krainsky corps also ordered their brigades to send volunteers to the 1st battalion in the ward. Thus, six companies of the military police appeared in the 1st battalion. A significant part of the battalion fought near Orashye until the end of May, and then went to the Doboisk direction. In July, the battalion broke through the defensive line near the town of Brka during Operation Assistance [2] . In September, part of the battalion participated in protests against the republican authorities in Banja Luka.
1994
In January 1994, soldiers of the battalion participated in an unsuccessful attack on the village of Matuzichi in the Doboisky direction, and after almost a month the battalion took Katanova-braid in the same direction. Until the fall, he fought in the Ozren direction, in September he participated in Operation Breza [3] . The attack began on September 6 , the battalion together with the reconnaissance company of the 1st Krainsky Corps attacked from the Dzhorkovach-Rad line. On September 12, the enemy abandoned in the position of the Army of the Republika Srpska Krajina a sabotage group of 150-200 people, which attacked the General Staff of the VRS and surrounded part of the 1st battalion of the military police. Killed 14 soldiers of the battalion, 3 were captured.
1995
In January, the battalion was transformed: instead of six companies, only two main and one training were left. There were a total of 475 people, including 19 senior and 52 junior officers [1] . In March – April, part of the battalion fought on Mount Vlašić, stabilizing the defense line of the 22nd Light Infantry Brigade and taking Markovac [4] . In September, the battalion, together with the tank company of the 1st Armored Brigade and the battalion of the 43rd Priedorsky Motorized Brigade, defended the Mlinishte-Podrashnitsa-Barachi line. On September 14, the battalion was sent to Strbin , where it remained until September 19 . Until the end of the war, he repelled attacks on Novi Grad and Banja Luka [5] .
