History
From 1859 to 1863, it was called the Illustrated Family Leaf.
Issued in St. Petersburg weekly, ceased to exist at number 13.
He published the newspaper A.O. Bauman. Edited and then published by V.R. Zotov .
The newspaper was intended for family reading. It was designed for urban philistinism. Popular domestic and foreign political reviews and "entertaining reading" were printed. The Illustrated Newspaper contained travel stories, descriptions of monuments of art, biographies of artists, historical figures and modern political figures, ethnographic articles. The newspaper contained cartoons that did not go beyond domestic humor.
