History
"Circular on management of the Petersburg educational district" was published in St. Petersburg from 1862 to 1876 irregularly, but at least 12 times a year. From 1877 to 1916 it was issued monthly.
In 1876, it was renamed the “Circular of the Petersburg Academic District”.
The journal contained official orders for the St. Petersburg school district , recommendatory lists of pedagogical and children's literature, and sometimes programs for the teaching of certain subjects.
