History
The company traces its history to the family business, which was founded in 1815 by Karl Bure, who moved to St. Petersburg from Revel . In 1874, his grandson, Pavel Pavlovich , acquired a large watch factory located in the Swiss city of Le Locle . In 1899, the company received the title of Supplier of the Imperial Court [3] . After the revolution , the company's property was nationalized and transferred to the Trust of Precision Mechanics, and losses amounted to 7 million gold rubles [3] . But the company managed to be maintained and after 1917 the company continued to operate in Switzerland under the Paul Buhre brand name [1] . In 2004, the company “Trading house for the revival of the traditions of the watchmaker of the Courtyard of His Majesty Pavel Karlovich Bure” was established in Moscow, which is engaged in the manufacture of watches and the collection of information about the history of the company [4] .
