History
According to the Xth revision of 1857:
PLATANOVO - a village owned by Kruz (Hanykov): households - 5, inhabitants: 5 m. n., a total of 16 people .; belongs to Barch (E. N. Ushakova): households - 2, residents: 5 m. p., total 8 people [2]
According to the Zemstvo census of 1895:
PLATANOVO - village, former peasants of Kruse (Khanykova): households - 2, inhabitants: 7 m. n., total 11 people .; former Barch (E. N. Ushakova): households - 2, inhabitants: 5 m. p., total 10 people [2]
At the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Verkhovsk-Volsky volost of the 1st zemsky section of the 3rd camp of the Ustyuzhensky district of the Novgorod province .

According to the map of the Novgorod province of 1917, the village was called Platanova and consisted of 7 peasant households [4] .
According to 1933, the village was called Platonovo and was part of the Potoksky village council of the Efimovsky district [5] .
According to the data of 1966 and 1973, the village of Platanovo was part of the Potoksky village council of Boksitogorsky district [6] [7] .
According to 1990, the village of Platanovo was part of the Podborovsky village council [8] .
In 1997, 4 people lived in the village of Platanovo, Podborovo volost, in 2002 - 3 people (all Russians) [9] [10] .
In 2007, in the village of Platanovo, the Podborovo rural settlement did not have a permanent population; in 2010, 4 people lived [11] [12] .
Since June 2, 2014 - as part of the newly created Lida rural settlement of Boksitogorsky district [13] .
In 2015, 3 people lived in the village of Platanovo of the Lida joint venture [14] .
Geography
The village is located in the eastern part of the district near the highway 41K-033 ( Somino - Oleshi ).
The distance to the village of Podborovye is 4 km [11] .
The distance to the nearest railway station is Podborovye - 6 km [6] . The nearest stopping point is a platform of 7 km .
The village is located on the right bank of the Oblomna River .
