NieR: Automata ( ニ ー ア オ ー ト マ タ None: but O: tomato , styled like NieR: Automata ) is an Action / RPG computer game developed by Platinum Games and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 , Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows platforms . The game was released February 23, 2017 in Japan for the PlayStation 4, and March 17 worldwide for Microsoft Windows, June 26, 2018 for the Xbox One. In September 2017, it became known that the game will continue [1] .

Gameplay
Nier: Automata is an open-world action / RPG game . The player is given control of various androids from YoRHa units depending on the stage of the game. There are 26 endings in the game, each of them is indicated by the English alphabet from A to Z [2] . However, the endings from F to Z are different variations of the game over [2] .
Story
The plot of the game tells about the invasion of aliens on Earth who, using a special virus, created a mechanical form of life. She, in turn, easily captured the planet with the help of indestructible military power, forcing mankind to flee to the moon. But not everyone lost heart, and among the remnants of human civilization, resistance arose, waging war against the invaders.

Basically, NieR: Automata received high marks and positive reviews from critics. On the Metacritic rating aggregator, the game has 88 points out of 100 based on 94 reviews for the PlayStation 4 version [3] , 90 points out of 100 reviews for the Xbox One version [5] , as well as 83 reviews for the version for the personal computer [4] .
In 2018, NieR: Automata took third place in the nomination “Role-playing game of the year 2017” according to the site Igromaniya.ru [17]
Rewards
Nier: Automata was nominated for “Best Story” and “Best Play on PlayStation ” at the 35th Annual Golden Joystick Awards [18] , and also received an award for “Best Music” and was nominated for “Best Story” and “Best Role Play” at The Game Awards 2017 [19] .
