Sergey Ignashevich - leader of the championship of Russia in the number of matches played |
The Russian Football Championship is the top division of the Russian football league system . The first draw of the tournament was held in 1992. From 1992 to 1998, it was called the “Premier League”, and from 1998 to 2001 - the “Premier Division”. Since 2002, the tournament began to manage the Russian Football Premier League , and he himself got that name. From 1992 to 2010, the championship was held according to the spring-autumn system, and after the transitional tournament 2011/2012 , which took place over a year and a half, the 2012/2013 tournament started, and since then the championship has been held according to the autumn-spring system ".
