Geography
The village is located 26 km from the district center on the P-420 highway, at an altitude of 428 m above sea level.

History
The settlement was established in 1961 by settlers from the settlements of Butukey and Kama, which were part of the collective farm named after Lenin. The village was called Novolenino. The first street in the village was Sovetskaya. In the summer of 1962, the mass construction of houses began; an elementary school was moved from Kama. In 1963, a seven-year school from the village of Butukey was moved to the village [2] .
