Description

The fortification rectangular in terms of (about 1.5 hectares) was surrounded on three sides by a moat (width up to 20 m, depth 5 m), and from the west — a river [3] . The castle was fortified with a high earthen wall with bastions at the corners and an oak fence. It was connected with the surroundings by a gate and a bridge [3] . On the castle grounds there were two stone (or wooden on stone foundations) buildings - according to N. Volkov, these buildings could be the palace and the gate (or powder magazine) [2] .
