Biography
He began his service on April 26, 1789 in the cavalry. April 10, 1791 moved to the National Guard of Paris. On August 24, 1792 he was sent to a military school as an equestrian volunteer.
On February 7, 1793, he was promoted to lieutenant of the 24th Cavalry Regiment, and from 1793 to 1798 he fought with the Ardennes, Sambro-Maas and Mainz armies.
On February 19, 1798 he was promoted to captain, and on May 24, as a senior adjutant, he was enrolled in the Guard of the Directory, which after 18 brumaire became part of the Consuls guard . On January 3, 1800, he headed the squadron of equestrian grenadiers of the guard . He fought at Marengo.
September 2, 1803 promoted to colonel, and appointed commander of the 4th cuirassier regiment. He participated in the Italian campaign of 1805, fought at Caldiero. In November, his regiment became part of the 3rd division of the heavy cavalry of General Espany , and was transferred to Poland. June 10, 1807 distinguished himself in the battle of Heilsberg.
He died on May 12, 1808 in Bayreuth.
