Distribution

The Holarctic , with the greatest diversity in the eastern Mediterranean ( Balkan Peninsula - 15 genera and 35 species, and the Caucasus - 20 genera and 43 species) [2] [3] .

Systematics

About 50 genera and more than 100 species (suborder Craspedosomatidea Cook, 1895, superfamily Anthroleucosomatoidea Verhoeff, 1899) [2] . The taxonomic volume of the family varies according to different classifications (Hoffman, 1980; Shear, 2000) [4] [5] . In 2011, the old narrow volume of Anthroleucosomatidae included only 7 genera and 15 species [1] .
