From 1923 he was an activist of the trade union and the Komsomol , and from 1925 he was a party leader, from 1931 he worked in the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Belarus .

In 1936, he was a teacher of the Republican school of party propagandists at the Central Committee of the Communist Party (B) B, then director of this school, then in the 1940s he was the director of party courses at the Central Committee of the Communist Party (B) B, in October 1940, he was the 1st Secretary of the CP (b) B Regional Committee in Vileyka. In 1941 he was a political officer of the Red Army (in the 13th army), in 1941–1942 he was the secretary of the regional committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Uzbekistan for work with cadres.

From May 28, 1943 until July 1944, he was the 1st Secretary of the Vilna Underground Regional Committee of the CP (b) B. After the release of Vileyka in the summer of 1944, he re-took up the office of the 1st Secretary of the Molodechno Regional Committee of the CP (B) B; in 1949 he graduated in absentia from the Higher Party School of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b) .

From February 18, 1949 to February 4, 1976, he was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (B) B, in 1951-1952 - a student of courses at the Central Committee of the CPSU (b), from 1952 to August 1953 - 1st Secretary of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party (b) B in Baranovichi , from August 1953 to 1962 - 1st Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Byelorussian SSR and at the same time in 1955-1960 - member of the Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) K. In 1961, he was the Minister of Inventory of the Byelorussian SSR, in 1962-1968 - the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Byelorussian SSR, and in 1968-1974 - the Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Byelorussian SSR.

From 1974, he was a research associate at the Institute for the History of the Party under the Central Committee of the PBC, from February 6, 1976 - member of the PBC Audit Commission, and since 1980 - Chairman of the Commission for former partisans and underground activists in the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Byelorussian SSR.

In 1980 he received the title of Honored Worker of Culture of the Belarusian SSR.
