Ivan Nikolaevich Makarov (born February 4, 1903 in Vyazniki - d. December 15, 1989 ) - Soviet politician, chairman of the Audit Commission of the Communist Party of Belarus (1971-1976), member of the Politburo (Presidium) of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (B) B (1947-1949 and 1956-1971).

Biography
In 1926 he joined the CPSU (b) , in 1927-1932. studied at the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, in 1932-1934. - Engineer at the Main Directorate of the People's Commissariat of Heavy Industry of the USSR, in 1934-1938. - Senior engineer at a Moscow factory.
From 1938 to June 1939 - Deputy Chairman of the Plenipotentiary Control Commission of the Party under the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks in the Byelorussian SSR . From June 18, 1939 to May 15, 1940 - member of the Audit Commission of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Belarus, from June 1939 to 1941 and from 1943 to April 16, 1946 - the first secretary of the regional committee of the Communist Party (B) B in Mogilev .
From May 20, 1940 to February 22, 1971, he was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) B, from September 1941 to January 1943 he was the secretary of the regional committee of the CPSU (b) in Kuibyshev , then the secretary of the regional committee of the CPSU (b) in Ulyanovsk . Since May 1946 - Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department of the Central Committee of the CP (b) B, in 1947-1948. - Head of the department for checking party organs of the Communist Party (b) B, in 1947-1949 member of the Politburo of the Communist Party (b) B, later head of the department of party, trade union and Komsomol organs of the Communist Party (b) B.
From September 24, 1952 to January 24, 1956 - deputy member, and from January 27, 1956 to February 22, 1971 - member of the Politburo / Presidium of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (B) B. In 1954-1958 - Head of the Department of Party Bodies KP (b) B, from November 1958 to February 1971 - Chairman of the Belarusian Republican Council of Trade Unions.
From February 24, 1971 to February 4, 1976 - Chairman of the Audit Commission of the PBC, from February 6, 1976 - Deputy Chairman of this commission.
He was awarded two orders of the Red Banner of Labor (1958 and 1963).
