Biography
He graduated from the Yeisk Naval Aviation School. JV Stalin in 1955, served in the naval aviation of the Northern Fleet , flew on the Yak-25 .
In 1960 he was selected to prepare for space flight . March 7, 1960 was enrolled in the first detachment of Soviet cosmonauts . He was trained for a space flight on the Vostok spacecraft . After completing the training course, on April 3, 1961 , he successfully passed the exam. April 4, 1961, Ivan Anikeev was enrolled in astronauts .
In 1961-63 he studied at the VVIA them. N.E. Zhukovsky (did not complete his studies due to expulsion from the cosmonaut detachment and transfer to another part).
April 17, 1963 expelled from the cosmonaut corps for violation of discipline. Together with fellow cosmonauts Grigory Nelyubov and Valentin Filatiev , while in a state of intoxication, they resisted a military patrol at Podlipki station .
After being expelled from the cosmonaut corps, Ivan Anikeev continued his service in the Air Force . From July 2, 1963, Ivan Anikeev served as a senior pilot, and from November 6, 1965, he served as a navigator for guiding the command post of the 611th IAP of the 3rd Air Defense Corps in the city of Bezhetsk, Tver Region. In September 1975, he entered the reserve with the rank of aviation captain. He was a second-class military pilot and navigator for guiding the second-class command post, was awarded the Order of the Red Star (for participating in the preparation of the first manned space flight) and six medals. He was also an instructor in parachute training, made 89 parachute jumps [1] .
After retiring, he lived in Bezhetsk, Kalinin Oblast. He was fond of music and theater. He died of cancer in his 60th year of life. He was buried at the New City Cemetery [2] in Bezhetsk .
