Biography
Born April 20, 1901 in the settlement Nikitovka (now Belgorod Region) [1] [2] in the family of a poor peasant. Ukrainian. Member of the CPSU since 1925.
Army service
In the Red Army since March 1920. He graduated from Voronezh command and instructor courses for pre-conscripts and physical training (1921), the District Oryol Military School of Physical Training (1922), the Cavalry Division of the United Military School named after the All-Russian Central Executive Committee (1927), the Military-Political Academy named after V. Lenin (1937), courses improvement of the highest commanders at the Military Academy named after MV Frunze (1941, 1954).
He began his service as an instructor of physical training at the Voronezh company district and in the Valuisky military office of the Voronezh region, then as a junior commander in the 16th Infantry Regiment of the Moscow Military District, as a commander of a machine-gun platoon and as a political officer in the 5th Stavropol Cavalry Division named after M. F. Blinov .
He served as military commissar of the 10th corps artillery regiment of the Oryol military district.
Since 1938 - Commissioner of the Special Cavalry Regiment of the People's Commissariat of Defense of the USSR. I had the honor on behalf of the Red cavalry on March 17, 1939 to welcome the XVIII Congress of the CPSU (b) [3] .
He participated in the war with Finland in 1939-1940.
Since 1940 - Commissioner of the Special Cavalry Brigade of the People's Commissariat of Defense of the USSR.
In April 1941, he headed the 123rd Infantry Regiment of the 62nd Infantry Division in the Kiev Military District. A month later he was promoted to the post of deputy commander of the 229th rifle division.
During the war years
On the fronts of the Great Patriotic War from June 1941. In his post as deputy commander of the 29th Infantry Division, he arrived at the front in the Smolensk region, and the division entered the battle on the move. In the battles near Smolensk he was wounded, and after his recovery he was recalled to Moscow. In July 1941 - deputy commandant of the city of Moscow.
During the period of the battles near Moscow, he took part in the preparation of the operational plan for the internal defense of the capital and the parade on Red Square on November 7, 1941.
From November 1941 to January 1942 - Commissioner of the Office of Alpine Skiing and Physical Training of the General Directorate of the formation and recruitment.
From November 1942 - Head of the Oryol Infantry School.
From September 1943 - Head of the Krasnodar Suvorov School. The rank of major general was awarded in 1944.
From February 1949 - Head of the Kalinin Suvorov School .
From December 1954 - Head of the Tashkent Lenin School .
From February 1956 - Head of the Military Department of the Kazakh State University named after S. M. Kirov.
Fired in September 1957. He lived in Vladikavkaz . He died on May 15, 1999. Buried on the Walk of Fame Krasnogvardeisky Park.
