Superclásico de las Américas ( Spanish Superclásico de las Américas and Brazilian port. Superclássico das Américas ), also called the Doctor Nicolás Leoz Cup, is a football competition held between the Argentine national team and the Brazilian national team on an irregular basis . The tournament was first held in 2011, as a historical continuation of the pre-existing Rock Cup . Initially, the competition was held in a two-match format on the territory of both countries, but in 2014, for the sake of raising interest, the tournament began to be held in a neutral country and consist of a single game. The possibilities of staffing were also changed: in 2011 and 2012, team players were recruited only from players in local championships, but in 2014 this rule was canceled [1] .
