Zamina Hasan kizi Hasanova ( azerb. Zəminə Həsən qızı Həsənova ; 1918 , Jorat - 2006 , Sumgait ) - Soviet Azerbaijani metallurgist, the first woman metallurgist in Azerbaijan [1] [2] .

Biography
She was born on May 10, 1922 in the village of Jorat of the Baku province (now the town of Jorat of the Sumgait city council).
She graduated from Jorat High School [3] .
Since 1936, a teacher at the school of the village of Jorat, chairman of the Jorat village council and in other posts.
Zamina Hasanova actively participated in the civil defense of Baku and its environs during the Great Patriotic War, erected trenches [4] .
After the war, she continued her career at the Lenin Azerbaijan Tube Rolling Plant, where she became an operator at Mill 140 [4] . Later, the galvanizing team leader and, since 1970, the senior galvanizing team leader [5] , led four teams [6] in the same factory.
By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 7, 1960 , to commemorate the 50th anniversary of International Women's Day, for outstanding achievements in work and especially fruitful social activities, Hasanova Zamina Hasan kyzy was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Sickle and Gold Medal The hammer ” [7] .
Hasanova actively participated in the public life of Azerbaijan. One of the organizers of the city club for students "Horizon" [8] . Repeatedly elected as a deputy of the Sumgait city council [6] . Member of the Supreme Council of the USSR VI convocation from the Baku-October district of the Azerbaijan SSR. Member of the XV Congress of Trade Unions of the USSR. Honorary Citizen of Sumgait [6] .
By a decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 2, 2002 , for his great achievements in the field of science and education, culture and art, economics and public administration of Azerbaijan, Hasanova Zamina Hasan kizi was granted a personal scholarship from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The following are dedicated to the outstanding metallurgist-galvanizer: the song of the outstanding composer A. Tagiyev and the poet R. Zek “Zamin” and the book of Z. Aliyev “Zamin”.
She died in 2006 in the city of Sumgait. A memorial plaque was installed in the city of Sumgait.
