Bodrov, Vyacheslav Alekseevich

Vyacheslav Alekseevich Bodrov (1931-2012) - Soviet and Russian psychologist , psychophysiologist, doctor, outstanding specialist in the field of labor psychology , professional selection and psychophysiology , MD (1970), professor (1980), head of the laboratory of engineering psychology and ergonomics of the Institute of Psychology of the Academy Sciences of the USSR (1988). Biography

Vyacheslav Bodrov was born in Moscow on October 10, 1931. After graduating from high school, he entered the Naval Academy named after N. G. Kuznetsov in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad). In 1956 he received the specialty "Special Physiologist." Since 1959, he began teaching at the Krasnoznamenoskoye scuba diving training unit at the Department of Special Physiology, and then transferred to the S. Kirov Military Medical Academy as a junior research fellow in the laboratory of physiology of labor. [2] . In 1970 . Vyacheslav Bodrov moved to Moscow, where he continued his scientific work at the State Scientific Research Testing Institute of Aviation and Space Medicine of the USSR Ministry of Defense, but already as a senior scientific co-worker mine, and then the head of the department. He leads the research unit of the Institute and is engaged in research of mental regulation in flight activity, the role of the human factor in accidents , the development of professional identity and others. In 1986 for the development of control methods for the functional state of the person he was awarded the Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR At the invitation of B. F. Lomov in 1988 V. Bodrov transferred to work at the Institute of Psychology of the Russian Academy of Sciences . There, he served as deputy director for scientific work, as well as the head of the laboratory of engineering psychology and ergonomics. [3] .

In 2002, he received the S. L. Rubinstein Prize for a series of works carried out on the same subject and devoted to the topic of systemic genetic studies of professional activities.

He died on February 12, 2012 in Moscow.

Scientific activity

Vyacheslav Bodrov was actively engaged in research work related to the psychophysiological analysis of the labor activity of specialists and the study of functional conditions (including the development of methods for their diagnosis and management), as well as issues of psychological selection, training and education using various technical means. In the monograph “Psychological Selection of Pilots and Cosmonauts” (1984), he substantiated theoretical principles and a number of recommendations for developing a system of psychological selection of personnel, and in the book “Systematic Approach in Engineering Psychology and Labor Psychology” he formulated practical recommendations for the ergonomic support of creation and operation technicians. [3] .

Vyacheslav Bodrov also studied the psychological laws of combined operator activity in control systems, he created the principles for classifying erroneous operator actions and developed methods and criteria for the psychophysiological assessment of professional activity.

Vyacheslav Bodrov is the author of over 350 various scientific, methodological and educational works, including 13 monographs and 4 textbooks. He conducted active teaching, was a member of scientific and specialized councils, prepared at least 30 candidates and doctors of sciences. [1] .
