Biography
A native of the Little Russians. He studied at the Kiev-Mohyla Academy and cut his hair while still a student.
In 1753, he was defined as a teacher in the Moscow Slavic-Greek-Latin Academy , where he taught piticism , rhetoric and was a preacher.
In 1759, due to poor health, he was dismissed from teaching and appointed abbot of the Moscow Danilov Monastery , then the prior of the Pafnutiev-Borovsky Monastery . From July 6, 1767, he was appointed to the post of rector at the Kazan Savior Transfiguration Monastery and was appointed rector and teacher of theology at the Kazan Theological Seminary ; On June 1, 1772, he was transferred to the Nizhny Novgorod Pechersky Monastery , he was also ordered to be present in the Nizhny Novgorod Consistory, to speak in sermons and to perform the rector’s post at the seminary .
He died on July 6 ( 17 ), 1773 .
