Biography
Born on March 18, 1964 in the village of Gilicheni, Telenesti district, Moldavian SSR. In 1971-1981 he studied in high school. In 1982-1984 he served in the Soviet Army .
September 1, 1988 he entered as a novice in the Kiev Pechersk Lavra .
On February 16, 1989, he received monastic tonsure with the name Isaac (in honor of the Monk Isaac, the recluse of the Caves ).
March 16, 1990 he was ordained to the rank of hierodeacon , and January 9, 1991 - to the rank of hieromonk .
In 1993, he was appointed hermitor to the Holy Intercession Goloseevskaya deserts , which at that time was the monastery of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, and elevated to the rank of hegumen , and in 1995 to the rank of archimandrite .
In 1996, with the transformation of the Holy Intercession Goloseevskaya desert into an independent monastery, was appointed its governor.
October 21, 2009 awarded the right to wear a second cross with ornaments.
Bishops
By the decision of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of October 18, 2016 he was elected bishop of Vorzelsky, vicar of the Kiev diocese [1] . On November 12, the rite of admonition was performed [2] .
December 13, 2016 in the Holy Intercession of the Goloseevsky desert, the bishop consecration of Archimandrite Isaac took place, led by Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine [3] .
