Konstantin Nikolayevich Koroyedov ( 1862 - after 1908 [1] or after 1912 [2] ) - Russian engineer, architect, representative of historicism , who lived and worked in Lithuania.

Biography
After graduating from the St. Petersburg Institute of Civil Engineers , he worked in the Lublin province . In 1894-1904 he held the position of Vilnius city architect. Since 1910, he served as the Grodno Provincial Engineer [3] .
Later he worked in Vladimir , Tauride province and Simferopol .
Projects
Buildings constructed according to Koroyedov's designs are characterized by massiveness and lavishly decorated with facades, using elements of the Neo-Baroque and Neo-Renaissance .
In Vilna, about forty buildings were built according to Koroyedov's designs. The most important
- the building of the Jewish Theater ( 1895 - 1897 ) on the present 10/2 Naugarduko Street ( Naugarduko g. 10/2 , now the Center for Tolerance - a branch of the Gaon Jewish Museum);
- the earliest example of Art Nouveau architecture in Vilna is the wooden pavilion in the Bernardine Garden ( 1902 ; not preserved), built for the exhibition of agriculture and crafts and later adapted for the exhibition of the Sztuka Art Society ( 1903 ), then for the Summer Polish Theater ( 1907 );
- City Hall with concert halls and the Grand Hotel hotel ( 1899 - 1902 ; now the National Philharmonic of Lithuania );
- administrative buildings of the General Directorate of Horse Breeding on Vivulskio Street ( Vivulskio g. 2 , 1898) and Jono Basanavichiaus ( J. Basanavičiaus g. 12 , 1900 and J. Basanavičiaus g. 14 , 1902 ).
The four-story house of Isaak Smazhenevich with the Bristol hotel, a theater hall and shops, a winter garden, apartments ( 1899-1900 ) on Georgievsky Avenue (now Gedimino Avenue , Gedimino per. 22-24 ) is one of the most luxurious buildings in the city. [one]
In addition, the architect owns the projects of the buildings of the library of M. Strashun between the Great Synagogue and Jewish Street ( 1896 ; not preserved), the apartment buildings Benjamin Menaker on Chopeno Street ( Šopeno g. 6 , 1894), Hirsch Janova on Basanavičiaus Street ( J. Basanavičiaus g 16 , 1897 ), Israel Bunimović ( J. Basanavičiaus g. 5 , 1900 ; as an object of regional significance, protected by the state, code in the Register of Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Lithuania 288 [4] ), A. Aresta ( Vilniaus g. 2 , 1897 ) .
Reconstructed a number of buildings; in particular, in 1898 - 1899 he reconstructed the house of the merchant of Israel-Eliya Bloch on Zavalnaya Street (now Pilimo, Pylimo g. 22 ). The building is included in the Register of Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Lithuania as an object of regional significance, protected by the state (code 12507 [5] .
