History
The Principality was ruled by the Nabeshima clan, which belonged to the tozama daimyo and had the status of the ruler of the camp ( Jap. П 屋 ) . The heads of the clan had the right to be present in the willow hall ( п 間 間 ) of the shogun . The Principality had the administrative center of the city of Hasunoike saga of Saga (the modern city of Saga of Saga Prefecture) and brought an income of 52,000 rice coca .
Hasunoike-khan was liquidated in 1871 . Initially, the Hasunoike Prefecture was formed on the territory of the principality, which was then included in the Saga Prefecture .
During the Bakumatsu period (1853–1869), the 9th and last daimyo Khasunoike Nabesima Naotada, by order of the Tokugawa shogunate in 1854, assumed responsibility for defending the Nagasaki area from possible attacks by foreign ships. In 1864, Naotada sent his squad to Kyoto to help the shogunate forces maintain public order. During the Bosin War (1868–1869), the daimyo Khasunoike went over to the side of the Satky Union and sent troops under the command of his younger brother against the Northern Union in support of Emperor Meiji .
In 1884, Nabeshima Naotada and his heirs received the title of viscount (bishaku) from the emperor in the kazoku system .
