Biography
Arsentiev Alexander Gennadievich was born on April 30, 1952 in the Far East , in the village of Grodekovo, Anuchinsky district, Primorsky Territory , in a family of teachers.
He received a secondary technical education in the specialty "radio engineer". Since 1972 he lives in Murmansk .
From childhood, he was interested in sculptures, read a lot and constantly sculpted.
From 1977 to 1988 he worked at Gorbytkombinat as a stone carver.
From 1988 to 1992 he worked in the Obelisk cooperative organized by him, specializing in the manufacture of monuments and tombstones .
Since 2000, he took up the social work that made him famous.
He was awarded the Vitaly Maslov Prize [1] , has many letters of thanks, letters of thanks from the leadership of the Murmansk region .
Works
Valley of Glory
The first large sculpture, installed in the Glory , got its name - “The Grieving Mother”. Alexander Gennadevich discovered this sculpture on October 7, 2001. The face of the “Grieving Mother” A. G. Arsentyev molded from his wife N. E. Ilyina.
But on this the sculptor Arsentiev A. G. did not finish his work in the Valley of Glory and in 2006 he made a sculptural composition of two monuments under the name "1941-1944".
Walk of Fame
Walk of Fame is located in the city of Kandalaksha . The monumental structure of the monument “Warrior-Liberator” is a height with a pedestal 5.5 meters, weight more than 5 tons.
Writers Alley
Writers' Alley is located in the center of Murmansk, near the Regional Children's and Youth Library. The following sculptor works are installed here:
- bust of the poet N. M. Rubtsov (opened February 16, 2006);
- bust of the poet V. A. Smirnov (opened May 23, 2008);
- bust of writer V. S. Pikul (opened July 20, 2008);
- bust of writer V. S. Maslov (opened September 2, 2011);
- bust of the front-line soldier A. V. Podstanitsky (opened on October 7, 2014) [2] .

- “Monument to the soldiers of the 72nd Marine Brigade.” The road Murmansk - Pechenga (61 km). Opened on October 7, 2002.
- Memorial sign T. A. Apakidze . A granite slab is installed at the site of the death of the pilot ( Ostrovsky district of the Pskov region ).
- Bust of the Hero of Russia T.A. Apakidze. Installed on September 3, 2015 in the territory of school No. 57 of the city of Murmansk [3] .
- A memorial sign to the defenders of the Kola Land “For the Glory of the Russian Land” (“For the Glory of the Fatherland”, 2004) [4] .
- Monument to Russian writer Valentin Pikul in Murmansk. Opened July 13, 2013 [5] .
Plaque Series
- September 14, 2016 updated the memorial sign to Mikhail Vasilievich Babikov . The first memorial plaque was installed in 1984. It is important to note that Murmansk sculptor Alexander Gennadyevich Arsentiev was developing the memorial sign both then and now [6] .
- October 19, 2016 the opening of a new memorial plaque to the commander of the 14th Army Vladimir Ivanovich Shcherbakov [7] .
- A memorial plaque in honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexei Generalov was opened on December 9, 2016 [8] .
