Geography

The village stretched along the ridge-watershed of the rivers Pshe and East Dagomys , 5-8 km from the coast of the Black Sea .

History

Before the end of the Caucasian war, various settlements of the indigenous population of the region existed on the site of the modern village.

The modern village arose in 1913 on the lands belonging to the participant of the Crimean War of 1853-1856, captain-lieutenant, St. George cavalier, a Frenchman by birth Sergey Pol. Since 1913, Armenians who fled from oppression from Turkey began to arrive in the mountain village. Land of 304 tithes was bought from the widow of officer Elena Stepanovna Paul. The villages on the Caucasian coast of the Black Sea were named after the owner.

In 1930, the Krasny Putilovets collective farm was organized in the village, tobacco plantations and gardens were laid.

In 1936, in the Krasnodar Territory, on the lands of the village of Sergei Pole, for the first time in this region, tea plantations were established. For three years, all the land suitable for breeding tea was sown with this crop.

The village of Sergei Pole is located 5 km from the center of Sochi. From December 26, 1962 to January 16, 1965, the village of Sergei Pole was listed as part of the Tuapse rural area in connection with the liquidation of the Lazarevsky district.

In 1972, a monument was erected in the village to residents of the village who died during the Great Patriotic War.

In December 2013, a memorial stone was erected in the village in honor of the centenary of the foundation of the village. A stone with a brief historical information is placed on the stone; on the left and right of it there is an image of an ox drawn into a wagon, and a solar disk with a print - a symbol of infinity.
