The first prince was David Igorevich (c. 1055 - May 25, 1112), who was deprived of the Volyn Principality at the Witchev Congress in 1100. In addition to Buzhsk, he also received the cities - Dubno , Chertoryysk and Dorogobuzh . After his death, the Buzhsky inheritance for some time (until 1119) did not have its own prince, but its strategic location caused rivalry for him of the Kiev, Volyn and Galician Rurikovich .
In the 1160s, the prince of Bug was Yaropolk Izyaslavich , who took an active part in princely feuds. After his death (1168), the territory of the principality of Buzh became part of the Principality of Belz .
