Geography
The village is located 5 km north of the center of the village of Mstera .
History
Until 1764, the village of Novoe Tatarovo belonged to the Trinity-Sergius Monastery. According to the scribe books of the Suzdal district of 1628-30, this village is already listed behind the Trinity Monastery; in it then there was already “the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary - wood above - the monastery structure; at the church there is a priest, a deacon, a sexton and a mallow, the priest has 3 bobyl cells in the courtyard. In the village there was a monastery courtyard, a cattle courtyard, a bee courtyard, a carpenter's courtyard, 5 peasant and 8 Bobyl yards. ”
According to census books of 1678, the monastery courtyard is also listed in Tatarovo, and the clerk lives in it, which are sent for writing from the Trinity-Sergius Monastery. At that time, Tatarovo was the administrative center of the enormous Trinity patrimony, which consisted of 49 villages, and there were 459 peasant and 45 bobyl households with a population of 1808 male souls.
In 1802-04, instead of the wooden church that had been hitherto former in Tatarovo, the currently existing stone church was built. There are two thrones in this temple: the main - in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the aisle warm - in the name of St. Sergius of Radonezh .
In the 19th and first quarter of the 20th century, the village was part of the Mster volost of the Vyaznikovsky district .
During the years of Soviet power until 1998, the village was part of the Barsko-Tatar village council .
