Biography

In 302 BC e. on behalf of his brother, Kassandra led an army of twelve thousand foot soldiers and five hundred horsemen sent to Asia to support the coalition forces of the Diadoch fighting the Antigonus . Since the sea routes in the Hellespont Strait were under the control of the son of Antigonos Demetrius , Plistarch decided to cross to Heracles , where the troops of Lysimachus were located, from Odessa . However, part of his ships got into a storm, and Plistarch himself barely escaped after a shipwreck.

After the battle of Ips Plistarchu were transferred to the administration of Cilicia and part of Caria . However, in 299 BC. e. Demetrius invaded Cilicia, and Plistrachus was forced to retreat. The wife of Demetria and sister Cassandra Phil mediated in the negotiations between her husband and brother. Demetrius refused territorial claims in Greece, and Kassander pledged not to take action to return Cilicia.
