In 1959, a monograph [3] by T. Akhmatova was published dedicated to this dialect.
The dialect is characterized by the Kazakh endings “yr”, “tyr” in the verbs of the present tense. For example, the word "sleeps" in the standard Kyrgyz language is translated "uktap zhatat", and in Talas dialect will be "uktap zhatyr". In addition, borrowings from the Kazakh language concerning everyday life and the kinship system are common. In colloquial speech, the sound “a” in pronunciation is more similar to the Kazakh sound “ә” (the sound between “a” and “e”), and the letter “k” is pronounced softer.
Govor is distributed in the north-west of Kyrgyzstan, that is, in the Talas and north-western parts ( Aksy district ) of the Jalal-Abad regions .
