Cypripedium malipoense is a species of perennial herbaceous plants of the Trigonopedia section of the genus Slipper ( Cypripedium ), a family of orchids ( Orchidaceae ). Endemic of China .

Plants 6-9 cm tall, with a strong rhizome. The stalk is short, covered with two leafy sheaths.
There are two leaves. The leaf blade is yellowish, with maroon spots, widely ovoid to almost round, 12-14 x 12-14 cm, sharp at the end.
The inflorescence is apical, 1-flowered. Flower 4-5 cm in diameter; dorsal sepals and maroon sail; the petals and lip are yellowish, with maroon spots; staminodynia is dirty red, with a yellow longitudinal stripe in the center and a narrow yellow edge. Dorsal sepals broadly ovoid, 3–3.5 × 2.5–2.8 cm, both surfaces bare, ciliary; the sail is elliptical-ovate, slightly shorter and much narrower than the dorsal sepal. The petals are bent forward, enveloping the lips, about 4 × 1.5 cm, the lip is flattened, about 2.5 × 2.5 cm, more or less warty on the front surface. Staminody 12-13 mm.
