“Tăvan En” (“Native Land”) is a political newspaper of the Cheboksary District of the Chuvash Republic . It is published once a week in the Chuvash language [1] .

The founder is the Ministry of Information Policy and Mass Communications of the Chuvash Republic.
Content
History
It was first published under the name “Kolkhoznik ĕulu” (“Path of the Kolkhoznik”) on July 27, 1932. The first issue of the newspaper was prepared for publication by the executive secretary G. Serebryakov-Oshman. From the first issues, the newspaper covered the life of the district, the main topics of publications were the life of collective farms , the progress of the five-year plan implementation. It was published in the Chuvash language [2] . The newspaper was a print organ of the Cheboksary District Party Committee and the District Council of Deputies [3] .
From September 9, 1938 to April 29, 1962, she went out under the name “Lenin çulup” (“Lenin's Way”). The issue was temporarily suspended and resumed from February 24, 1963 under the name Leninets. The newspaper began to be published in Russian. [2] [1] [3] .
In 1982, to the 50th anniversary of the first issue, the newspaper was awarded a diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Chuvash ASSR [3] .
The modern name of the newspaper was October 1, 1991.
