Biography
He holds a bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Oregon . He also holds MBA and MS degrees. In 1986-2008, he served in the special units of the US Navy SEAL ("seals"). Captain 2nd rank .
On December 15, 2016, the elected US President Donald Trump announced his intention to nominate Zinke for the post of Minister of the Interior [2] . During the hearings on his candidacy in the Senate, Zinke promised to oppose the withdrawal from federal ownership of large land areas [3] .
December 15, 2018 Donald Trump announced the resignation of Zinke as minister in late 2018 [4] .
Hobbies
Zinke is known as a lover of hunting, fishing and tourism [3] .
