Story
In the sewers of London, two workers were attacked by an unknown force. Meanwhile, the Doctor is trying to fix the TARDIS system, mainly a disguise, which causes the ship’s erratic behavior, and the Doctor goes to Earth in 1985, where he shows the Perit Halley comet, but she is more concerned about the prospect of collision with her.
On Earth, the former distant mercenary Lytton (" Resurrection of the Distant ") lives as a London gangster and, together with Griffiths, Payne and Russell, is going to rob a warehouse of 10 million pounds in diamonds. Before entering the sewers, Litton activates an emergency beacon, the signal of which is received by the Doctor, who lands at the dump on Totters Lane for investigation. But he discovers that the transmitter is a dummy and the direction finding is real. Together with Peri, he arrives at the entrance to the sewers where he meets two cops controlled by Litton.
In the meantime, something is killing lagging Payne, and the rest of the robbers meet cybermen. Lytton disarms Griffiths and gives up, while Russell escapes and meets the Doctor and Perry, who admits that he is investigating Lytton's case.
On Telos, two slaves, Bates and Stratton, escape and behead a cyberman. Using his helmet for masking, they penetrate into cyber-control. It turns out that the cybermen stole their time machine, and they intend to run away from Telos on it.
The Doctor, Peri and Russell return to the TARDIS, where Cybermen, Lytton and Griffiths are ambushed. Russell is killed, and the Doctors are forced to head to Telos and are locked up with Peri, Lytton and Griffiths. Finally, he tells Perry and Griffiths that the cybermen destroyed the population of Telos, the Cryons, in order to use their cryogenic installations. The doctor notes that Lytton is somewhat familiar with the history of cybermen, Telos and Krionians.
On Telos, most cyber-people are damaged and are in suspended animation, when they exit from which they become enraged. The TARDIS flies to the catacombs, and one of the injured breaks free. In the confusion, everyone except the Doctor escapes, Peri is rescued by two Kryonians, and Lytton and Griffiths meet another, and it turns out that Lytton works for them. Griffiths is offered two million in diamonds, if he helps Lytton seize the time machine. Two track Bates and Stratton, unsuccessful cyber conversion attempts with mechanical arms and legs, and all four decide to work together.
Doctors are locked in the fridge along with Flyte, the former leader of the Kryonians. She says that the cybermen are going to save their homeland Mondas from destruction, turning Halley's comet to Earth. The doctor realizes that the time masters sent him here to solve this. In the room are reserves of vastiala, explosive at a temperature greater than zero mineral. The doctor with the help of him destroys the guard, and then gives Flast a heater. She hides it in the mineral reserves, but then the cybermen, who consider her responsible for the Doctor's escape, kill her by throwing her out of the room where her blood is boiling.
Lytton, Griffiths, Bates and Stratton make their way to the time machine, but Lytton is caught and tortured, wringing his hands to tell him plans. The remaining three are killing cybermen. In the meantime, the Doctor returns the TARDIS and Perry and finds out that Lytton was working for Kryonites, and not for cyber-men, which convinces him to try to save the mercenary.
The doctor finds Lytton partially transformed into a cyberman, who begs him to kill him. He tries to free him, but the Cyber Controller arrives, killing Lytton. The Cyber-leader comes with a lieutenant, but they destroy each other with cross-fire. The Doctor kills the Controller and escapes to the TARDIS, and after a few seconds, the Vastiyala boxes explode and destroy the entire base.

Interesting Facts
- The series very much refers to the old series of the series: the dump on which the TARDIS lands, supposedly the same one on which it stood in the series “ Unearthly Child ”, mention is made of an attempt to destroy the Earth in 1986 , a meeting with cyber-men on Telos in the 25th century and the first meeting with Lytton (" Resurrection of the Daleks "). Perry mentions that the Doctor called her Teagan, Zoe, Susan , Jamie, and the Terrible Zodin. The latter is a character who did not appear on the screen, but was mentioned in the Five Doctors series, and later on in the blog of Martha Jones .
- Russell plays Terry Molloy, usually the doer of Davros.
- This series is the first in the format of 45-minute episodes. Throughout the season, the series was released as opposed to the previous 25-minute format.
