Albert Louis Emmanuel de Foule ( fr. Albert Louis Emmanuel de Fouler ; 1770-1831) - French military leader, division general (1814), count (1808), participant in the revolutionary and Napoleonic wars. The name of the general is embossed on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

Biography
Born into the family of Emmanuel-Jean-Joseph Fouler ( French Emmanuel-Jean-Joseph Fouler ), the equestrian king and lord Releng. In April 1786 he was admitted to the Court as a royal page.
September 12, 1787 began military service in the Navar Infantry Regiment (future 5th Line). He served in the Northern Army. He participated in the campaign of 1792. March 23, 1793 became adjutant to General Pully . Then he served as a staff officer with the generals Mortier and Drouet d'Erlon . July 24, 1796 was wounded by a bullet in his right leg at the battle of Schweinfurt.
March 16, 1799 he was transferred to the cavalry, and led the company of the 19th cavalry regiment in the Mainz army. May 16, 1799 was captured by the Austrian hussars in the battle of Meinbischoffsheim. Got freedom in the process of exchange of prisoners of war. On November 20, 1799, he headed the squadron of the 21st cavalry jaeger regiment in the Italian army.
October 16, 1800 received the rank of colonel, and was appointed commander of the 24th cavalry regiment. Since November 20, 1801 he became the head of the 11th cuirassier regiment. When organizing the Napoleon's Court , Foule in 1804 received the honorary position of the Equestrian Empress.
With his cuirassiers, he participated in the Austrian campaign of 1805, distinguished himself in the battle of Austerlitz. On December 31, 1806 he was promoted to brigadier general and appointed commander of the 2nd brigade of the newly formed 3rd heavy cavalry division . He participated in the Polish campaign of 1807. He was wounded by a lance in the battle of Heilsberg.
In the Austrian campaign of 1809 he distinguished himself on May 21 in a bloody battle at Essling, where he fiercely attacked two enemy squares and captured several guns. He received several saber wounds to the head, fell from his horse and was captured. In the 10th bulletin of the German Army was declared dead.
On July 22, 1809 he received freedom and from August 11 he commanded the cavalry of the 8th Army Corps Colonel-General Junot . From October 30, 1809, he organized the cavalry regiments of the 2nd reserve division of the Spanish Army. From January 27 to February 12, 1810 he commanded the 4th Brigade of the 3rd Dragoon Division .
February 2, 1810 became the Emperor's horse. He took part in the French campaign of 1814. March 23, 1814 right on the battlefield at Saint-Dizier awarded the rank of division general.
At the first Restoration, it was left without an official appointment. July 5, 1814 received the position of squadron commander of the 1st company of the Royal Musketeers.
During the "Hundred Days" he again acted as the equestrian Emperor. After the second Restoration, he retired on September 9, 1815.
He was married to Henriette d'Avrange ( French Henriette Victoire Elisabeth d'Avrange ), from whom he had a son Louis-Edouard ( French Louis-Édouard Fouler de Relingue ; 1813-1874).
