Tin Oo ( Burmese တင် ဦး , tɪ̀ɴ ʔú ; born March 3, 1927 , Patayn ) - Burmese military and statesman, retired general, dissident. Minister of Defense and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Burma (1974-1976). One of the leaders of the democratic movement in Burma (Myanmar), chairman of the National League for Democracy (1988-1989).
