The area is located in the south of West Sussex County along the English Channel .
History
The area was formed on April 1, 1974 as a result of the merger of Borough Arandel , urban areas ( English Urban district ) Bognor Regis , Littlehampton and parts of rural areas ( English Rural District ) Chichester and Worthing .
Composition
The district includes 3 cities:
