In 1872 he graduated from the medical faculty of Kharkov University and remained at the university as an assistant to the prosector of the anatomy department. Under the guidance of I.K. Wagner, he prepared and defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "On the influence of the Distraction methode method on the hip and knee joints" (1875). Since 1877 - Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery, Topographic Anatomy and Field Surgery. He took part in the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878 .

Since 1885, P. I. Morozov headed the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy of Kiev University (since 1886 - an ordinary professor , since 1902 - Emeritus Professor [1] ); lectured in field surgery and topographic anatomy for military doctors (since 1888); in 1906-1910 - Vice-rector of the University of Kiev. From September 1919 to March 1920 he was dean of the medical faculty [1] .

Since January 1, 1899 - a valid state councilor . He was awarded the orders: St. Anne , 2nd art. (1893), St. Vladimir 3rd art. (1906), St. Stanislav 1st art. (1910) [2] .

Morozov became one of the founders of the medical department at the Higher Women's Courses (1907); headed the pedagogical council of the Women's Medical University (1916-1920); headed the second department of anatomy of the Kiev State Medical Academy , in 1921 he was vice-rector of the academy.

Among his students: K. M. Sapezhko (1857-1928), G. S. Ivanitsky.
