Geography
The area is located in the eastern part of Kent along the coast of the Dover Strait .
History
The district was formed on April 1, 1974 as a result of the merger of Borough of Dil , Dover , Sunwich and the rural areas of Dover and most of Istria .

- Dover
- Sunwich
and 32 communities ( English civil parish ).
