Final

The main competition in the shot put in women was held on July 7, 2016. In the first attempt, the reigning champion of the continent Kristina Schwanitz showed the best result of the season in Europe, 20.17 m, and removed all questions about the winner. 20-year-old Emel Dereli from Turkey, after striking performances in youth and junior competitions, won the first medal at a major international start among adults [2] .
