Biography
The priest came from a wealthy Pomeranian noble family. His father owned estates in the area of Slupsk . The younger brother is Vavrzhinets, a cousin of Slupsk . In 1257, Svenza served as a substitute in Slavno . Around 1266, after the death of Prince Svyatopolk II, the Pomeranian Svets was transferred to Slupsk , where he served as a subcommittee . In 1275, he was elevated to the rank of Slupsky's chestnut . As a cough- steward, Slupsk Svents began to be more often mentioned surrounded by the East Pomeranian prince Mstivoy II . In 1276, he was one of two officials who, for the first time in the history of Gdansk Pomerania, put their seal in princely letters.
In 1283, Svenza participated in the campaign of the Pomeranian army against the Brandenburg Margrave , from which the region of Slavno was recaptured. In 1299, Prince of Krakow, Vladislav Loketek, appointed Peter, son of Svent, as Chancellor of East Pomerania. In 1305, the King of Poland and the Czech Republic, Vaclav II granted Peter the post of Pomorsky Warden, which contributed to the enrichment of the clan. After the return of East Pomerania to the rule of Vladislav Loketka, Peter Svents was removed from his post, but his father Sventsa retained the post of governor of Pomeranian.
On July 17, 1307, the Sentsov clan concluded an agreement in Ledovo with Margrave Waldemar of Brandenburg , promising him his help in the conquest of the Gdansk Pomerania . In return, the Margrave of Brandenburg handed over the Svents to the heirs of the area of Darlowo , Polyaniv , Slavno , Tukhola , Nove and Slupsk . As a result, this led to the capture of East Pomerania by the Teutonic knights in 1308.
