Biography
Yuri Seleznev was born on December 18, 1975 in Odessa . Pupil of Odessa clubs " Motorist " and " Chernomorets ." The first coach is B. Kraytman. He played in the Chornomorets team from 1992 to 1997, during which time he played 60 fights (6 goals) as part of the main team, and 85 (15 goals) for the second one [2] . He made his debut with the Chornomorets on September 19, 1994 in the Premier League match against Lutsk Volyn .
In the summer of 1997, he transferred to Shakhtar Donetsk, for which he played until 2000. As part of the main team, he played 63 matches (17 goals), another 18 matches (3 goals) played for the club’s second team. In 2000, he moved to Russia , where he played for Rostselmash , for which he made his debut on September 6, 2000 in the home match of the 24th round against CSKA , leaving in the starting lineup and was replaced in the 61st minute by Igor Khankeev [3] . In total, he spent 17 matches for the club, scoring one goal and 4 matches for Rostselmash-2 and left the club [4] . In the summer of 2001 he returned to Ukraine and signed a contract with Donetsk Metallurg [5] , which he played until 2003. For the main team he played 28 matches (3 goals), for the second team - 14 matches (2 goals). After the end of the contract, he kept fit in the amateur team “Signal” (Odessa). He spent the first part of the 2003/04 season as part of Kryvyi Rih Krivbass : he played 24 matches for the main team and scored one goal, for the second - 3 matches (1 goal). He played the second part of the season in Uzhgorod Zakarpattya , which included 9 matches.
At the beginning of 2005 he moved to Simferopol Tavria , in which he played 15 matches (1 goal). In the spring of the 2005/06 season, he defended the colors of Dneprodzerzhinsky Steel , which he moved to as a free agent [6] , took part in 16 matches as a member of the club, marking one goal. In 2006, he also played for Nizhny Novgorod Spartak (17 matches). In 2007, he returned to Odessa, where for some time he played for the local amateur club Digital. In the same year he completed his career as a football player.
