Boemon d'Astarak

Boemon ( Bohémond ) (born c. 1120, d. No earlier than 1183) - Count of Astarak in 1145–1183. The son of Bernard I and his second wife Lonebruna.

At first he was the co-ruler of his elder brother - Sansha II , having received at the division of his fatherly possessions Gozhan, Montama and Sovter. Another brother, Bernard II, during the life of his father, became the owner of the lord Saint-Martin-du-Gault, located outside the county.

After the death of Sansha II (1168), Boemon began to rule Astarak alone.

In 1183, he retired to retire to the Berdu monastery and soon died.

Wife - Rubea de Marsan (c. 1130 - 1174), daughter of Pierre de Marsan and Beatrice Bigorska. Four daughters:

• Mary is the mind. in childhood
• Marquez (d. 1191) - Countess Astaraka
• Bonafama is the mind. in childhood
• Benetrix (c. 1150 - c. 1200) - Countess of Astarak.

The second daughter of Boemon Marquez married a Spanish nobleman named Ezemène (d. C. 1188), who, starting in 1170, was mentioned with the title of Count d'Astarak.

In subsequent years, they called themselves counts of Astarak:

• Marquez (daughter of Boemon) (1183-1191)
• Benetrix (daughter of Boemon) (1189 - c. 1200)
• Bernard II / III (according to one version - the son of Marqueza and Ezman, according to another version - the younger brother of Boemon, according to the third version - the son of Marqueza from his first husband) (1179-1205)
• Roderick ( Rodrigo Jimenez ) (Ezman's son from his first wife, first husband of the aforementioned Benetrix) (1187-1190)
• Vital de Montague , second husband of Benetrix (1194-1205)

The juice. In 1205, Santul I , the founder of the Second Astarak House, became the count of Astarak. It is believed that he was the son of Countess Benetrix and Rodrigo Jimenez.
