Biography
Born in 1922 in a peasant family in the village of Panteleeva, Garinsky district. In 1942, she entered a tractor training course at the Nihvorsk MTS, after which she began working as a tractor driver on the same MTS. She graduated from the Sysert regional school of tractor unit foremen. Since 1945 she lived in the village of Criulino. She worked as a tractor driver on a local collective farm.
In 1947, the first link in the potato growing area was appointed. Olga Chesnokova worked in her link, who later headed another potato-growing link. Growing potatoes, Valentina Zueva used advanced agronomic methods, as a result of which the team collected large potato crops. In 1951, an average of 558.6 centners of potato was grown per hectare on an area of 8 hectares.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 26, 1952, for receiving high potato yields in 1951 when the collective farm complies with mandatory deliveries, payment in kind for the operation of the MTS and provision of seeds for all crops for the spring sowing of 1952, was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and a gold medal Hammer and Sickle .
Repeatedly participated in the All-Union Exhibition of VDNH in Moscow. She was elected a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 4th convocation of the Krasnoufimsky constituency No. 293 [1] , a delegate to the XIX Congress of the CPSU [2] .
Died in 1994.
