Distribution

The plant is common in India , Southeast Asia , and southern China . It grows on the plains at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level. It occurs in glades, at the edge of a forest, near rivers and lakes, and the like.

Application

Traditional medicine

The dried bark of the plant is used as a medicine in traditional traditional medicine systems of India , such as Ayurveda , Siddha and the like. A decoction of the cortex is introduced inside to treat diseases such as kidney stones , dysuria , helminth infections, inflammation and abscesses. The decoction of the plant has a carminative, laxative, diuretic, antipyretic, expectorant and soothing property. [3]
