Biography
In 1955, he graduated with honors from the Ryazan Art College, enrolling there at the age of 14.
Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1964). He gained fame in 1965, when he was the first Soviet artist to address the theme of Yesenin poetry, holding a solo exhibition entitled "In the Homeland of Sergei Yesenin." He also created a gallery of portraits of his fellow countrymen: the creator of theoretical cosmonautics Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, pilot-cosmonaut Vladimir Aksenov, portraits of village workers and war defenders of the Great Patriotic War. Another key theme in the work of the master was the Ryazan landscape.
The artist's works are stored in the Ryazan Art Museum, State Museum-Reserve S. A. Yesenin.
